Ken Crinklaw grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon. Upon
graduation from high school, he attended the University of Oregon where
he graduated in 1989 with his Bachelor’s of Science in Physical
Education. He then continued his education at the University of Oregon
and obtained his Master’s of Science in Adapted Physical Education in
1990. He was then accepted into the Master’s of Science Physical
Therapy program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in
Denver, Colorado. He completed this program in 1992 and began his
career working for a regional medical center in Colorado. He worked in
a diverse physical therapy setting where he was able to rotate through
outpatient, inpatient and home care orthopedic physical therapy
settings. Starting his career in Colorado also allowed him to pursue
two of his passions, hiking and alpine skiing.
Ken missed the Northwest and his family and in 1993 returned
to Washington State to work in the area of outpatient orthopedic
physical therapy. He has since worked in the Seattle Metro region with
the last eight years being in the Bellevue-Redmond area. In addition to
his role as a physical therapist, Ken has held various management
positions during his
career
in Washington State. In 2002, Ken Crinklaw and Ben Wobker formed
Redmond Physical Therapy, Inc. and began treating patients in September
2003. Redmond Physical Therapy currently has a staff of eleven
including five full-time physical therapists.
Ken’s greatest interest, outside of family, is the pursuit
of continued education in the field of physical therapy. Areas of
interest in orthopedic physical therapy include: Manual therapy
techniques; joint mobilization, muscle energy, soft tissue mobilization,
PNF,
