Mandie grew
up 9 hours east of Seattle in Bozeman,
Montana. Growing up in Big Sky country led to Mandie's
great appreciation of the outdoors and recreation. She attended
Montana State
University for her undergraduate work in Exercise
Science. Mandie took a short drive west for graduate school and attended
the University of
Montana.
Mandie has a drive to
help individuals meet goals and she is active in the development of a
patient's rehabilitative
program. These are many
of
the same qualities that she trains by to be successful
in her own
athletic endeavors. Mandie's major interests include
running, skiing, and backpacking.
Mandie completed the Seattle Marathon in November
of 2005. The summer of 2006 lead Mandie to to take
full advantage of the
northwest. Her accomplishments include Summitting Rainier and Olympus,
Completing the "Hood-to-Coast" relay race, and completing the "STP"
(Seattle-to-Portland) bike race.
Professional develop continues
to be a high priority and Mandie has recently finished the
NAIOMT Level
II manual therapy
course work as well as a course devoted to the
biomechanics of running. Mandie is
currently begining Level III NAIOMT
coursework and also passed the
Orthopedic Certified Specialist exam. Look for Mandie on the Burke
Gilman trail and hiking on the cascade switchbacks.
