Hip Fractures Symptoms & Pathologies

Chronic fractures, or stress fractures, are a severe form of overuse injury, which occur when bone is subjected to repetitive stress. Acute fractures are severe and may require emergency care if the fracture is displaced.

Possible Treatments

Rest
Surgery, if displaced
Physical therapy
- Stretching
- Strengthening
- Soft tissue mobilization
- Modalities (e.g. ultrasound or electrical stimulation)
- Activity modification
