Joan grew up on a remote island in Southeast Alaska only accessible by boat or float plane. By the age of six she was trolling for King Salmon every summer.

Joan and SonAs a high school student Joan already had Physical Therapy as a career goal, working as an Aide and Receptionist at an outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic.

For college Joan moved to Milwaukee , Wisconsin to attend Marquette University , receiving Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Masters in PhysicalMaia2 Therapy degrees.

As a Physical Therapist, it is important to Joan to provide individualized care and education to maximize recovery and allow the patient to learn self-management. Areas of interest include manual treatment of the spine and sacroiliac joint, pre/post Natal fitness and treatment and vestibular rehabilitation.

Joan enjoys working with Physical Therapist Students and is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. She is also a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist with a strong background in repetitive overuse and work related injuries.

Favorite activities include swing and latin dancing, kayaking and camping and her favorite vacation spot is Manzanita, Oregon . Look for her at the Marymoor off leash dog park chasing the dog and the kid!Joan's Dog
